Serving Bread

With 27 votes (which put me in second place in the elections) I was elected President of my Homeowners’ Association. Here’s an excerpt of what I would have said had I been given space for an inaugural address:

Today, I’m proud to be an American and I envision a new America HOA where justice is swift, costs are curbed, and homeowners are happy. Today, we turn a new leaf, believing that the best is yet to come for our humble community, despite the gathering storm clouds in the distance. Today, we dare to hope. God bless you and God bless America.

This job may not be as ‘sexy’ as being the President of the US, but at least I get to keep my iPhone!
