    About

I serve with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at Cal State Northridge, where my wife and I are raising our daughter (born August 2005) and son (born February 2008). Serving Bread is the online presence of Eddy Ekmekji. The title is a derivative of the family name ‘Ekmekji’. Though I’m Armenian, the name is Turkish. ‘Ekmek’ means Bread and ‘Ji’ means man. Our ancestors apparently served bread or were bakers.

On this site, I will post musings and thoughts about life, parenting, culture, theology, ministry, politics, international relations and anything else that may interest me. In no particular order, I’m a husband, a father, a son, a Chrisitan, a minister, and a student. This is a personal blog which means that my writings are in no way to be representative of any religion, church, denomination, or organization.
